WEEK SUMMARY

this week has been a very long week of new things that i have learned about. i have learned about diffusion and intervation. diffusion is like the speard of technology or how it has changed over time. like how now stuff can get to the otherside of the world in seconds. intervation is the spreading of new ideas. and social networks have effected many people in many ways such as MYSPACE, FACEBOOK, ETC...

E-WASTE

I really and truly think that E-WASTE is horrible. The reason that I think this is because there are so many people who are being harmed by this. There are so many other ways that we could get rid of our E-WASTE that isn’t so harmful. We through about 25 million T.V’s away every single year. In the year 2005 around 98 million U.S. cell phones too their last call that year.

Digitizing Books

Digitizing books is a good and a bad thing. It is bad because Google didn’t get the permission of author to copy their books, and put tem ion then internet. Well the good side of that is that you do not have to go to the library to get a book you can just pull it up on the internet. They already have 12 million books and their goal is 40 million. I didn’t even know there were that many books here on earth in the first place. I think I will be one of the people who do use this method of reading books.

Weaving The Web

Weaving the web was an awesome book. I just could not believe that one man could create the technology by himself. Now there are so many branches of what he has started. He started it out if ordinary stuff at his house, which makes it so incredible. His name was Tim Berners-Lee I thought that this would have been created by a group of people. Now you can get on the computer just about anywhere, there is now even a thing called wireless internet. It is crazy because there are so many people that don’t have technology which is hard to believe because it is everywhere.
